Leadership Opportunities at Mekedonia Youth Organization
Applications for leadership roles are open from October 1st to November 30th. The 12-month term begins each January, with applications for the upcoming term opening in October every year. Due to limited spots, director positions are open to members who meet the eligibility requirements, which are detailed at the bottom of this page. Every member is encouraged to explore and apply for other leadership roles where they can make a meaningful contribution to shaping MYO’s future.
Director Positions (Limited Spots – Eligibility Required)

Director of Fundraising: Leads overall fundraising strategy, sets goals, oversees campaigns, and manages the fundraising team to ensure successful resource development.

Director of Community Outreach and Events: Oversees research to identify key community events and festivals where MYO can engage, promote its mission, and organize fundraising activities.

Director of Guest Speaker Coordinator: Identify and secure guest speakers, prepare interview questions, and facilitate engaging conversations during events. Collaborates closely with the President and Assistant President.

Director of Member Engagement Coordinator: Lead efforts to foster active involvement and build strong connections among Mekedonia Youth Organization members to enhance engagement.

Director of Content Creator: Lead the strategy, development, and execution of all organizational content, managing creators, and ensuring alignment with the mission and fundraising goals.
Additional Leadership Roles (Open to All Interested Members)

Fundraising Campaign Developer: Designs and develops new trends and creative fundraising ideas, proposes campaigns, and unique fundraising activities.

Community Outreach Team: Helps research, identify, and recommend relevant community events and festivals where MYO can engage, promote its mission, and organize fundraising activities.

Virtual Games and Activities Coordinator: Designs and facilitates engaging, interactive games for virtual meetings, ensuring a fun and inclusive experience for everyone.

Graphic Designer (Flyers and Posters): Designs eye-catching flyers, posters, and print materials. Collaborates with the content creator and fundraising teams to develop visually compelling designs that align with the organization's branding.

Video Producer/Editor: Creates and edits promotional videos that are engaging, align with brand standards, and are optimized for social media, events, and other platforms.

Director Positions Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for a Director position, candidates must have:

Served as a MYO director for a full 12-month term, or started their term in January 2025.

Raised over $500 in fundraising efforts during their term.

Successfully recruited at least two new members.

Attended at least 80% of scheduled Zoom meetings.

Completed and actively participated in all assigned projects.

Maintained timely communication by responding promptly to text messages and emails.
